Children's Dental Health Month

It seems there were more children in need of sealants, and we were up to the task. Dr. Gillespie and Dr. Lambert; our team of assistants: Yvette, Rebecca, and Wendy; and three of our hygienists: Donna, Belinda, and Colene, happily took a Friday morning to take up the challenge. Even Dr. Lambert’s wife, Dr. Liz Ferguson, took time out of her busy schedule to lend a helping hand! How could anyone resist these children, whose large eyes look to us with such trust? Sure, we had to coax a few away from the safety of a wall, or perhaps from behind a teacher’s familiar protection, but it was well worth it. These children are our future, and they deserve at least a moment of our time.

All together, there were five dentists, and sixteen volunteers who placed a total of 125 sealants for fifty-three students in less than three hours, resulting in the largest sealant day this year!!! That’s food for the heart—and the soul. Thank you, Eblen Foundation, for affording us this opportunity to be a part of this wonderful program.
