A New Year, A Fresh Perspective!

STAFF TRAINING AT THE BILTMORE CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT A New Year, A Fresh Perspective! This January, our staff visited the Biltmore Estate to attend a “Cultivating Change” workshop at the Biltmore Center for Professional Development. During this eye-opening session, Biltmore shared with us many changes within the history of their organization. They explained that while these changes were challenging, embracing them allowed Biltmore to stay ahead of the curve and therefore excel in their field. Change in the dental world is very similar. Congratulations, Dr. Peterson!

Isn’t she lovely?! We are pleased to announce the birth of our newest family member, Lily Kate Peterson. Lily was born to Dr. Jaime Peterson and her husband, Joe, this past Thursday, November 12th. While everyone said their son, EJ, was born looking just like Joe, Lily Kate is a spitting image of her mama! We are so excited for you guys and can’t wait for you to bring that baby to visit!   read more

She’s Leaving Home: Brittany Moves On

As I have gotten older, I’ve realized that you never quite get everything dialed in just the way you want it and keep it there.  For long, anyway.  There’s just too many moving pieces to life.  So, in response, I have become more and more comfortable accustomed to change, such that I now view my working relationships not only as works in progress, but as paths crossing.  Sometimes, these paths cross briefly (like a former dental assistant fill-in, Say Hello to Mary. Say Goodbye to Mary.); some last a long time and actively continue on afterwards (Still Waters Run Deep:… read more

The Simple Math of Building Teams…and Pyramids

I’m often asked how I am able to keep my staff turnover so low.  While most of it is just dumb luck, some of it is that I am fortunate—blessed—to have found the right people to work in my office, and some of it is just simple math:  I take care of my employees, and they take care of me and my patients.  Simple, right?
