At Gillespie Dental Associates, we believe that every action, no matter how small, can make a difference. In this special Earth Day blog post, we want to share our commitment to environmental stewardship and how it aligns with our mission of promoting not just healthy smiles, but a healthier planet too.
Our Green Initiatives:
We are dedicated to sustainability. We prioritize eco-friendly dental materials and practices whenever possible, opting for biodegradable or recyclable products. In addition, we’ve implemented various green initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint. This includes everything from paperless patient records and digital communication to energy-efficient lighting and low VOC paint. By embracing these technologies and practices, we’re not only streamlining our operations but also doing our part to conserve precious resources.
We have an in-house recycling program in place for all paper, plastics, cardboard, etc. with a separate co-mingled recycling dumpster. Our dental instruments are all recycled at end of use – NOT disposed of in landfills. We recycle all electronics including monitors and keyboards, etc. utilizing our local Staples’ recycling program. To date, we have taken several car loads! We recycle all batteries and used office ink and toner.

We persistently explore new ways to reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote environmental stewardship both within our practice and beyond.
