This spring, Parth and I had the joy of celebrating our wedding surrounded by our closest family and friends in beautiful Charlotte, and weeks later, we are still smiling about it! Many of our patients have asked us about wedding planning, the events, our outfits, and how everything came together, so we wanted to share a little recap of the weekend with all of you.
What made it even more special was getting to celebrate with so many people who have become like family to us, including our wonderful patients and team members who followed along every step of the way.
What started as “just a wedding weekend” quickly turned into a four-day celebration full of color, music, laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories!
Day One: Henna Party
The celebrations officially began with our Henna night; one of the most vibrant and exciting parts of an Indian wedding tradition. Friends and family gathered while intricate henna designs were applied and everyone enjoyed incredible food and music. The atmosphere was energetic, colorful, and full of anticipation for the days ahead. It was also one of the first moments where both sides of our families truly came together, which made the evening incredibly meaningful to us.
Day Two: Haldi Ceremony
The Haldi Ceremony is one of the most joyful and playful events of the weekend. Traditionally, turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom as a blessing before the wedding, but let’s just say things got a little competitive with who could apply the most! There was lots of laughter, plenty of yellow everywhere, and many unforgettable moments we’ll cherish forever. It was one of those events that perfectly balanced tradition with fun.
Day Three: Welcome Party
By the welcome party, everyone was fully in celebration mode. Guests traveled from near and far, and it meant so much seeing so many loved ones together in one place.
The evening was filled with dancing, amazing food, and lots of catching up with friends and family we hadn’t seen in years. It truly set the tone for the wedding day ahead and reminded us how lucky we are to have such supportive people in our lives.
And of course, the disco dancers were definitely not a bad touch. Their energy, fun outfits, and surprise performances brought the party to life and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. It added the perfect mix of glamour, excitement, and fun to kick off the wedding weekend in style!
Day Four: Wedding and Reception
The wedding day itself felt surreal in the best way possible. The morning was filled with excitement, emotion, and anticipation as everyone prepared for the ceremony ahead. From the early morning getting-ready moments to the final details coming together, there was an incredible energy in the air that made the day feel unforgettable from the very start.
One of the highlights of the day was Parth’s baraat. The traditional groom’s wedding procession, which brought music, dancing, and nonstop celebration to the streets of Charlotte. Arriving in a Lamborghini surrounded by family and friends, the procession filled the streets with joy, excitement, and the unmistakable energy of an Indian wedding celebration. Drums played, guests danced through the streets, and the excitement leading up to the ceremony was truly electric.
The wedding ceremony itself was deeply meaningful and emotional for both of us. Being surrounded by the people we love while blending tradition, family, and personal touches into every part of the day made it incredibly special.
And then came the reception. An evening full of heartfelt speeches, incredible food, nonstop dancing, and memories we will cherish forever. Seeing everyone celebrating together was the perfect ending to an unforgettable weekend. And yes… the dance floor stayed packed all night long.
